Volunteer
Helping care for Kula, together.
Volunteers are an important part of Mālama Kula’s work. Whether you can help occasionally or regularly, there are ways to contribute that fit different abilities and schedules.
Why Volunteer?
This work depends on people showing up — neighbors helping neighbors.
Volunteers generally support fuel reduction projects and green waste efforts. Every contribution helps reduce risk and strengthen resilience.

Who can help
You don’t need special experience to get involved.
Volunteers of different ages and backgrounds participate. Some roles are physically demanding, while others focus on coordination or support.

What volunteers do
Every day is different. Volunteers often assist with invasive plant removal, clearing fire-prone vegetation, and assisting residents with land management challenges. Be prepared to get your hands dirty!

Safety & Preparation
Safety First!
Safety guidelines and instructions are provided for each activity. Volunteers are expected to follow instructions and work within their comfort level.
